HAHA!! NIce vids. I guess It won't be long before your dog gives a bark "HOOOO!!"

I've been wondering if I do the things related HG since I read this thread
but nothing came up to my mind.

Because I don't have girlfriend that I can do bachikoi to nor can I shake my hip as fast as HG do.

@Kei-kun, is your girlfriend the Asian chick appearing hand in hand with you
at the begining of "HG Destiny Calling Competition" vid?

Noel,

Look at the rest of the pics and videos in my photobucket site...they're all of the dog in different stages of puppy hood, but amusing nonetheless!!

He's 11 months old now and we weighed him at the vet last week at 97lbs (43.998 kilograms).

I looked over her blog and I see she's got a HG pop up pilates.

Judging from her name, seems like she is Korean American isn't it?

@Leather, yes, Japanese.

And nice video post :P
(you know what's odd, people like to post the random Hoo here and there, but it seems we're the only few dedicated HG fans out there :P)

Seems like a Korean name but I'm not sure. There are a lot of Koreans on the West Coast. In Southern California, they have their own "Korea Town" and it encompasses a pretty large territory.

There's also "Little Tokyo" in downtown Los Angeles, but it is no where as large as Korea Town.

Kei Gei; your girlfriend is very pretty

Seems as though we are the only dedicated HG fans. Seems as though people discuss him for a short period of time and then the subject just wanes away.

I just wish I knew about him back in 2005. The way I found out about him is from a childhood friend of mine that now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. She had sent me a link to a youtube video and from then on, my husband and I were hooked!! We would spend hours looking at his videos and we would be laughing so hard that we would get a side ache!!

He is much too talented and unique to be sidelined and I am happy that this board was created in keeping him in the limelight!!

HARD GAY ROCKS THE ENTIRE WORLD!! HOOOO!!!!

The forum you posted looked like a Morning Musume/Hello Project forum and it's interesting
the Group filed of the members on forum indicates their statuses as "Shinmem", which is short for
"new member", "new comer" I guess, "Kouhai" and "Senpai".

OK, here's my video post. This is not HG related one but kinda gay stuff I happned to find on YouTube.

"Liera Manuel Ivan sefl introduction video"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbtR9LFXVNs

The main reason I posted this up was that he said the hottest fad word in Japan now.
it's "dondake!" (00:24)

He's pretty gay, alright! What nationality is he because he speaks Japanese like he was born and raised there.

I think the only thing I understood was that he was 23 years old? (I told you my Japanese was BAD!! lol!)

What does "dondake" mean?

That's funny how each country has their certain slang words; even here in the States, the slang is different from state to state too. I remember when I moved to the East Coast from California, I used to say, "agro" for someone being irritated or belligerent.

This is a totally California example: "Dude, that person is like totally agro".

People still laugh at me as I still use that word and others they don't use here.

One of these days when/if we get "Private Messages" enabled, I'll give you the link to my website so you can get a glimpse into my world out here.

From what I got Ivan's video, he was borin in Mexico and moved to Nara, Japan at the age of 2,
grew up in Nara and Tokyo and went to high school in the states.

After coming back to Japan, he started modelling and turned to be a singer now.

So, he speaks Spanish, English and impeccable Japanese.

What does "dondake" mean? hmm...I'm not quite sure what it means and how to use it.
It spread out from gay people and getting popular among young Japanese.

Literally means, "How much?!" or "How far?!"
So, if someone got too far or said/done too much, more than you could accept or take it,
you would say "dondakeee?!!" as a joke.

That's quite a unique life he's lead so far; born in Mexico and moving to Japan. I knew he looked Hispanic or Mediterranean, but I would have never guessed he was from Mexico!

It just looked weird that someone that looks like him speaks Japanese that well.

That reminds me of when I was in high school; there was this black girl that was new to the school and she approached me and all she spoke was Japanese and not a word of English. That had to have been the freakiest thing! I remember all of us were tripped out by the whole thing but fortunately between all of us, we were able to help this girl out and lead her on her way.

We have our own terms for "dondake"...

"Are you done"?!
"You need to go chill out"
"Go take a pill"
"Are you off the soap box yet"? (This references the daytime soap opera programs that tend to be dramatic)
"Someone's on the rag today"

These are the more "milder" of terms, but you get the general idea

Yeah, someone who has completely non-Japanese looks speaking Japanese proficiently freaks us out.
However, it's getting less freaky in Japan these days. Because there are a large number of foreigners
who were born in outside Japan or born and raised in Japan speak Japanese fluently on TV shows.

These people used to be labeled as "henna gaijin" (weird foreigner) but it doesn't appear so unusual thing now.

Like Thane Camus for example, his granduncle is Albert Camus, has lived in Japan most of his life and he speaks perfect Japanese.

"henna" was a well used term in our house for some reason; I can hear my bachan and mom now!

This youtube video has nothing to do with HG, but it is from Japan and I have a side ache from laughing so hard!

Thanks for the link. I had never watched this video before and besides I don't watch TV a lot.
This video has got almost 1000 comments so far and it's quite something.

The good thing about this kind of show is that you don't need subs to grab the funniness.
And I read the comments like, "We need more shows like this!" on YouTube often.
Seems like you guys don't have lots of this king of outrageous comedy shows in the states.

I don't think it's a bad thing that Japanese comedy shows like this being spread out all over the world.
Because you know, Japanese people who appearing in Hollywood movies in 80's are always like wearing glasses, dark suits, parting his hair on the side, quiet, serious and kinda creepy type.

But in fact, we like having fun and have a good taste of laughing if you ask me.

Here's another one that would never make it to the United States because of our heavy-handed censorship:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlAkOhH9eek

Unfortunately, the United States is the land of lawsuits. A person/company has to watch their step because they will get sued over the most trivial thing.

McDonald's hamburgers got sued once because the coffee they served was to hot and the lady spilled it in her lap while driving. Playing the devil's advocate; had she had been responsible, she would have set it in the proper cup holder in the car and waited until it cooled off. Obviously, she was trying to multi-task and brought the accident upon herself.

There have been incidents where a burglar has broken into a person's home and injured themselves and sued the homeowner for the injury and have actually won the lawsuit!! TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS!!

MXC; Takeshi's Castle is the only Japanese show that made it to cable TV.

It's aired on Spike TV and my husband loves to watch that show!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpGw45FyvaU

They've gotten a lot better and have taken the Asian out of the stereotypical roles that they usually portrayed in the past. I believe there was an uproar from the Asian-American community and the Asian-Americans in the Screen Actors Guild.

There are some TV shows that have Asians and they are portrayed as normal mainstream people; not like the geeks from the past.
