I knew that Takeshi's Castle was aired in other countries and Downtown and their TV show "Gakino tsukai ya arahende", "Gakino tsukai" for short, are getting gradually popular in other countries thanks to YouTube.

There are few TV shows I watch regularly but "Gakino tsukai" is my favourite show so I watch every week.

I've heard that McDonald's hot coffee incident because one day Marty Friedman, who is ex. Megadeath guitar palyer living in Japan now, talked about it on a Japanese TV show.

And I find the burglar-won-the-lawsuit-case weird and funny 'cos there is a proverb says "盗人猛々しい(nusutto takedakeshii)" in Japan, which means, A burglar has no compunction about what he's done.

I think I figure out why there are not many Japanese comedy-type shows in the states because sounds like American life itself is preposterous comedy lol Sorry if I offended you.

No offense taken

There are very FEW TV shows that I actually watch because it seems as though the stupid "Reality" shows have taken over. They probably have a stupid reality show for everything you can think of now.

Here are 2 good examples of a waste of airtime space:

haha!! "Nusutto" is a very good term!! My mom uses that term a lot so I'm familiar with that word!

I love Megadeth! I haven't listened to that CD in a while. I listened to "The Black album" by Metallica at the gym yesterday....I love heavy metal!!!

Ah, several years back, some "Reality" shows were very popular in Japan, too.
Like, "The Jerry Springer" type shows and actually "The Jerry Springer" was aired in Japan in the middle of the night though.
The couples having trouble come up on the stage, the girlfriend cheats on her boyfriend and her another boy friend come up on the stage and get a fake fight or something.

Most people, espacially young people know that the fight was set up. My mom took it seriously though lol
Anyhoo, since then the Japanese word "Yarase" which means fake, setup got kinda popular in Japan and people became more suspicious about dramatic production on TV shows.

My friend and I used to watch "Jerry Springer" and we would laugh our a**es off!!

Believe it or not, in the very beginning, those people used to really punch each other on the show; then they started doing the staged stuff and then it wasn't fun to watch anymore.

The show started getting ridiculous because they'd have a couple on there where the boyfriend was distraught because he found out his girlfriend that he's been with for over a year was actually a man!!

Now how can you be with someone that long and not know? C'mon!!

This has nothing to do with HG, but I was wondering if you folks have ever seen the movie, "Jackass: The Movie" with Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pontius...

They're very popular in the States and the reason I'm pointing this out is because Noel and I had a conversation on the hard-ass U.S. censorship. Seems like these guys are right on the cutting edge.

On the last one near the end, you'll see a big lake; that's shot right near my house in California.

My husband just read that and I told him that you did that to a D.C. cop and he laughed his a** off!!

I haven't been to D.C. yet but I heard the streets are easy to get lost on because it's somewhat of a maze.

Seems like you've adjusted to Eastern Standard Time pretty well!!

Thanks for the translation, Noel!

I always wondered what everything said. He's pretty tall for a Japanese; a hair over 6 feet tall.

He's a pretty talented artist; I was trying to find some of his artwork on the net but couldn't find any. I'd love to see what type of carpentry he does. I have a hard time even putting a nail in the wall where it actually hits a stud (and this is even using a stud finder!) lol!!

Wazzupe Phoenix I guess your husband thinks one of both: I am too stupid, or, I got big guts Well I am a HG fan, so I must have balls of steel, and big ones too
You are right about DC, it is also very hard to find a parking place! I still use my navigation system untill I get used to the roads etc. It is very different than in europe, but incredibly better

The only problem is, when you want to go to Route 1 or 95 OR get out of town to another place, then you will stuck in the rush hour for like 2 or 3 hours Today we got this problem

What's happenin', Caesar!!!

You gotta have balls of steel!! As they say, "no guts, no glory"!! I'm still crackin' up just picturing you going up to a D.C. cop (as they can be a hard-ass) and going, "FOOOOOO"!!!

The infamous I-95 traffic!! Now that you were officially initiated, you are now an "Official East Coaster"!!

Parking in D.C. is bad and even worse in New York City. When you go to NYC, take a train in and the subway system will get you to pretty much where you want.

You have to go see NYC!!!

Caesar,

Here are some pics I took in NYC a couple of months ago. The picture of Times Square2 is where they drop the ball on New Year's Eve (at the very end of the street).

Hope you enjoy the pics!!! A lot of HG potential in NYC!!!!

Hi Phoenix,

Thanks for the nice NYC pictures You know, while I was watching them, the first thing came up in my mind is Frank Sinatra's song "New York" ! I love Sinatra by the way

I feel pretty much as an East Coaster now I will try to pull something on some cop soon if I get the chance I hope it will be a straight cop, cause if he is gay, it means he will like it maybe, then arrest me and SEARCH ME! It will be like: "Lay down on the floor, (with his hands on my ass) Are you carrying any weapon? Are you carrying a weapon? (Then with his hand on my P-Niz) What is this huh? What is this?"

Sorry Kei,

I re-directed the links to my Photobucket. I don't know if you can, but if you can eliminate them from the HG Photo Section, that would be great.

Sorry for the screw up!
